Hazel Hollinger Family Medical Fund

Dear friends and relatives of The Hollinger Family. This fundraiser has been created to help offset medical expenses and travel for Hazel Hollinger and her loving family.

As a parent we tend to worry if our children eat healthy enough, if they are excelling academically and whether or not they’ve experienced and enjoyed all the day had to offer. But then the unexpected happens and our focus is now elsewhere. Recently the beautiful, vibrant, intelligent and full of life and love, Hazel, was diagnosed with a rare cancer, stage 2 germ cell. Over the last few weeks Hazel has endured numerous tests and treatments as well as surgery to remove this darkness that now consumes The Hollinger Family. She has done so with grace and maturity far beyond her years and most likely better than most adults.

Hazel will continue rigorous testing and chemotherapy at U of M. This will require numerous trips downstate, lodging and nutritional expenses. The Hollinger Family will undoubtedly face financial, medical and travel hardship.

For those of you that have the pleasure of knowing The Hollinger family you’ve been blessed. For those of you that do not, let me paint a picture. Melody and Ray, as well as their children, are selfless, empathetic and do not hesitate to offer their assistance in whatever it is someone may need. They often put the needs of others above that of their own. They are people I hold very dear to my heart. Please consider assisting this delightful family however possible. Prayers are priceless and also very much appreciated.
