Oscar's surgery
Donation protected
Hi all,
We adopted our 1 year old Oscar 3 months ago. Normally he follows us everywhere, even into the shower.. He is usually full of life, always looking for cuddles, and a very needy boy.
Unfortunately, a couple of days ago, my partner and I noticed Oscar had a limp. He was eating less and lying around more than usual. We took him to the vet, thinking he maybe just had a sore paw. After $1100 worth of tests and X-rays, it turns out he has a fracture on his left femoral neck in his hip.
This requires a Femoral Head and Neck osteotomy, which our vet quoted us $3000-4000 and he needs it as soon as possible.
We really hate to ask for help, but we just don’t have this kind of money and we don’t know what else to do. When speaking to the vet about our financial concerns, they suggested we “surrender ownership” of our boy. This is something we would never do as we love Oscar beyond words and he is the best decision we’ve ever made.
Any money raised will go directly to Oscar’s surgery and any post-surgery appointments as he will need physiotherapy.
Once again we’re sorry to ask, but any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Celia & Pat
