HELP HATTIESBURG'S  YOUTH SEE BLACK PANTHER

This is a part of the #BlackPantherChallenge created by Fredrick Joesph of Harlem, NY encouraging those across the country to help with students in their communties to see the film, Black Panther, which depicts a positive representation of people of color.

You can read more about Mr. Joesph and the challenge below:

Film Description:
"Black Panther features a superhero/royalty member named T'Challa that is enriched with African culture, not only is he a hero but this character is also a scientist and strategist. This shows audiences that people of color can also be superheroes and royalty, it brings about the bigger picture that people of color, especially the youth, are more than just a sidekick; they're accepted, strong, intelligent, powerful, and have the ability to change the world for the better, just like this Marvel superhero." - Sariah Lewis, NM

We are both comic book lovers and film connoisseurs, so this was a challenge we gladly accepted. We believe it is so important that children, especially children of color, see heroes on the big screen that resemble them.

As stated in our video, we will be sponsoring our local, Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club here in Hattiesburg, MS - that has over 70 kids that attend their non-profit afterschool program. This program is very special to Caleb's heart because as a child, he was a member of their afterschool program. The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club focuses on disadvantaged youth and teaches them the importance of education, career development, health and leadership skills just to name a few. Learn more here: http://salvationarmyalm.org/hattiesburg/boys-girls-club/

We are not only looking to provide the children with a movie ticket, but a snack as well.

Ticket: $8.56 per child.
Kid's Combo: $4.75 per child (Provides popcorn, funsize candy or fruit snacks, and a soft drink)

This campaign will end on Sunday, February 4th at 11:59 PM.
