Support Camp Pipe Out

We are a group of Water Protectors and allies coming together to protect the water and shut down “Line 5” a Canadian oil pipeline that runs through the Great Lakes. Although not an official organization, our collective group of organizers has experience from Standing Rock, Line 3, Rover, Kalamazoo and other anti-pipeline fights. Please donate and help us ensure our camp this summer is a success!

Camp Pipe Out, planned for this Labor Day weekend, exists to support and expand on existing actions focused on shutting down Line 5, including the Water is Life Festival and the Pipe-Out Paddle-Out. We need your financial support to buy supplies like firewood and toilets; to pay people for their child care labour, and to compensate presenters with honorariums for their time, work, and expertise, with priority placed on paying Black, Indigenous and People of Color presenters first.

Our collective experience has taught us the importance of building movements that are based in consent, inclusive of diverse perspectives, and designed with forethought. This space will allow us to have important conversations about the current status of the line 5 fight, discuss strategies that may be effective in advancing this work, and practice building the sustainable healthy communities we want to live in.

The camp is open to anyone interested in contributing to the movement from Thursday, September 1st, through Wednesday, September 7th.
