Hello, my name is Rosa De Los Santos, I never imagined I would start 2023 with life changing news to my health. I was not prepared for the unexpected news that I was about to receive. On January 4th I went in for chronic stomach pain, I was told my symptoms were not severe, I was just bloated. I knew that was not right and requested an ultrasound and x-ray because the pain was unbearable. To my misfortune I was correct. The physician misdiagnosed me, and my results showed I had two tumors, one the size of a cantaloupe on the right side of my stomach and the other the size of a softball on my left. On January 20th surgery was performed to remove the two enlarged tumors. I believed I was in the clear now since the tumors were removed, but I was wrong. Two days after the surgery it was confirmed that I had cancerous cells in the tumors and an increased likelihood of having cancer also. I went in for additional testing and on February 4th, which happens to be my two children’s birthdays, I was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer.

I have been battling with stage IV stomach cancer for some time and it has taken a toll on me. Due to the rapid changes in my health and abilities to function on a day-to-day basis, I’ve had to step away from work and social joys to conserve my energy for my kids. Due to this illness, it has placed a financial burden on my family. I am praying and thanking you in advance for any blessing you can send.
