Help Amanda beat cancer

My name is Lacey Friis and I have the pleasure of calling Amanda Hogg one of my most treasured friends. Amanda and I met in 2015 and instantly became friends. For those of you who know Amanda, you know that she is selfless. She is quick to offer a helping hand. I could sit here and recount story after story of her selfless acts over the years; but I think all her friends have similar stories. Like most women in their 30’s, Amanda is busy raising her babies and working full-time to provide for her family. Amanda and her husband Kyle have three children; Cambell, 13 Cailyn,6 and Karlee, 4. She is the smile brightener, peace ambassador, family physician, referee, photographer, fun maker, head chef, pet wrangler, sleep coach, and secret keeper for her family.
On May 1st Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer. Amanda will begin 12 weeks of chemo starting on June 5th at UF Health. Amanda will undergo surgery after her chemo is complete. Amanda and Kyle have insurance, which helps tremendously. However, those that have been through healthcare crises know that the bills continue to pile up. There are also certain therapies Amanda wants to try, of which are not covered by insurance.
My goal in starting a go fund me is to give the many folks who have been asking what they can do, a place to start. Let it be known that I had to nearly twist her arm to get her to agree to it. Thank you all for contributing however you can to support Amanda and her family. We are hopeful she can get the treatment she needs without a financial burden.
