HCHS Senior Trip (money was stolen due to a scam)

Some people you just cannot support. My name is Lequitta McDaniel and I am from Belzoni, MS.  My daughter is a senior in this class, so I organized the senior trip for some of the seniors. After completely paying for a charter bus to take us to Miami, Florida to catch our cruise, the bus never showed up. The bus was supposed to park at Supervalu at 4pm and pull out at 6pm. The bus nor drivers never came. The company's owner wouldn't answer calls or respond to texts until he felt like it. The kids were heartbroken. So was I. He would send a new lie saying, "I'm 45 minutes away," or "The driver is on his way." The kids are optimistic and going to Florida the weekend of May 10-13. Many have reached out on how they can help. When I say people from all over have offered their support and money, it is the truth. If you are willing to help, please donate and share.  It was a total of 54 kids, parents, and chaperones who lost transportation and cruise money.  All of the money will be used to pay for transportation and hotels in Florida. If any money is left over, it will be disbursed among the kids that participated in the trip and issued to them as graduation gifts from the community.  We are now still catching a charter bus to Miami and allowing the children to enjoy tropical weather, beaches, sun, and fun.  The ultimate goal is to allow them to still have a memorable senior trip.
