Help for Connor
On Monday, June 7, Connor Mathewson-Webster, had a devastating diving incident. He dove into a friend’s swimming pool after work and hit his head on the slope of the pool and went unconscious. As a result, friends had to pull Connor from the pool and perform CPR. While they did save his life, Connor suffered multiple fractures in his neck and has been left paralyzed from the chest down. Connor grew up in Kilworth and Komoka attending Parkview Public School and then Medway High School. Connor was working and looking forward to a bright future. To know this kid is to love him. He is the nicest boy and a kind soul. He is a friend of my son’s and possibly yours. He is all of our kid. Connor is 19 years old. He is still in Critical Care at Victoria Hospital and we are all praying for his recovery. He will eventually be going to Parkwood for more intensive support and physiotherapy. The family is going to have to sell their home and find something that will accommodate Connor and his needs. They could really use your help and support. I am hoping you will help, in any way you can. Please know that they will appreciate it more than you can imagine. Thank you and please keep Connor and his family in your thoughts and prayers, if so inclined.
