Meagan and Justin

During the late afternoon of Wednesday, April 29th Justin Cornett and his friend were riding motorcycles through the Mojave Desert near Barstow, California. Justin and his friend stopped at his friend’s sister’s house, and while there realized that her home air conditioning system was not working. With her children in mind, Justin suggested they fix it. After 3 hours and a trip to the store for parts, the air conditioning was fixed. With the sun setting across the desert, they set out on their bikes towards home in Barstow. With Justin’s friend leading the way on a moonlight California State Route 247, a passing car entered Justin’s lane at mile marker 57. He was killed on impact.

Justin was just 30 years old. He was raised in Phenix City, Alabama, and just years earlier had moved to the area with his mother and stepfather, whose Army deployment had brought the family to Fort Irwin. While there he met and fell in love with Meagan. Two years ago this June they were married. You hear people say ‘It took me meeting my wife to shape me into the person I am’. This was Meagan for Justin. Meagan brought out everything good about Justin. She guided him in love and in life.

As Justin's family we started this page to ask for assistance for Meagan during this challenging and frail time. Meagan has made the difficult decision to leave their home in Barstow and move to Ohio to be near her family. The money raised from this page will be used to help her with relocation expenses and other immediate needs.

Please help us in supporting Meagan.
