Adult Day program

Just over two years ago, I was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease. HD is a rare, progressive, fatal disease which causes the nerve cells in the brain to break down. These disconnects in the brain do exactly that, they disconnect the persons mood, thoughts, thinking, body movements and judgment. The disconnects are becoming much more regular. Because of these disconnects, I am no longer able to work. I'm currently attending an adult day program two days a week in Midland called Season's.
Seasons is an activity based center and a leader in community-based daytime care for individuals living with chronic diseases & changes in memory. The center provides an interactive, socially engaging, safe and secure environment. Activities incorporate cognitive and sensory stimulation, memory training, creative arts, music, physical exercise, educational programs, occupational and life skills.
Unfortunately, attending Season's is costly. $75 per day. State funded waiver programs are available but its based on monthly income, not need. My current income is $46 too much to qualify. Dollars raised would help off set my monthly cost.
This program allows me to have adult socialization, work on cooking skills, field trips, bible study, and gardening.
