Hustle & Heart is a gripping and thought-provoking feauture film that explores the highs and lows of a young UK rapper fighting for his place in the music industry while battling the pressures of gang life and severe mental health struggles.

Jaheim, a rising artist, is torn between two worlds—the streets that raised him and the career that could change his life. Despite repping the Rados gang, he refuses to let the block define him. However, fame comes with its own challenges: intense rivalry, overwhelming expectations, and a battle with his own mind. Struggling with anxiety, depression, and paranoia, Jaheim must navigate the dark side of success while holding onto his dreams. With the support of close friends and mentors, will he overcome the pressure, or will the weight of it all pull him under?

This film isn’t just about music or gangs—it’s about the reality of young people chasing their dreams while dealing with personal demons. It sheds light on the mental health challenges many face but rarely speak about, creating a raw and emotional narrative that audiences will connect with.

I, Emmanuel Matanawui, a young 16 year old  and ambitious filmmaker juggling GCSEs and a whole feature film production i am bringing this story to life with an incredible team. Joining me are Adi Alfa and Eric Myers multi-award-winning filmmakers and Brandon Siyom, all passionate creatives committed to making this project a success.
