Let's Lift Laura Up! (Laura Towne)

Laura Towne has been a travel nurse for almost 3 years now. She has gone to some great cities, met some wonderful people, and helped lots and lots of women deliver babies. She is one of the most selfless, caring people I have ever met; always willing to help a friend out, without thinking twice. Now it's our turn to help her out.
Laura was enjoying a nice sunny day at the beach in San Diego on Saturday, September 26th when she had a seizure. She was taken to Scripps La Jolla by ambulance (having another seizure in the ambulance). Once at the hospital, she had a third seizure. Dr's started running tests and discovered a tumor in her brain. Laura underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor on Wednesday, September 30th. Today she was told it is cancer.
Most of you are probably in shock at Laura's brain cancer diagnosis. At just 31 years old, she has a lot of life left to live. Many people have reached out asking what they can do for Laura or how they can help. Here is an easy way for you to show Laura that you care and also help her with her bills. Because of her cancer diagnosis, she is going to start treatment soon and will not be able to work. Having been in the hospital a week, her medical bills alone will be adding up fast. Let's show her how much she means to each of us and take some of the financial stress off of her and let her concentrate on beating cancer! #Laurastrong
