Head Shaving because Trump Won

My name is David Quesada.  And like most of the world, I thought the polling for the US Presidential Election was fairly accurate.  With a Hillary Clinton victory all but guaranteed, I got a little brash on Facebook.  On October 16, I posted that Trump had no chance, and if he ended up winning the election, I would shave my head.  As you know, Donald Trump won.  And over the last few days, some good friends of mine reminded me that I posted this.  :-/

I like my hair.  I don't want to shave my head.  But I did post that and I will own up to it, with one caveat.  I will follow through with the head shaving if I can raise $1000.  The money raised will be divided in half and turned in to two donations.  One half will go to the Military Order of the Purple Heart (Chapter 1836) and their program that assists veterans undergoing care at the Wounded Warrior Project at Fort Sam Houston.  The other half will go to the South Chamber of Commerce and their program to help fund scholarships for High School grads from Southside High Schools  towards college and workforce development.  Both are great causes that I hope you can get behind.

From today until January 20th, I will not cut my hair.  This will also be the day the fundraiser ends.  I will coordinate a gathering in which anyone that donates a minumum of $25 to the cause will get one swipe with a pair of clippers to my hair.  But, of course, anything you can donate is most welcome and appreciated.  If you are unable to be present at the gathering, it will be broadcasted on Facebook Live so you can witness the deed.  As we get closer to the date I will be sure to update you as to the details of the gathering.  So if you're in town during that time, please join me.  I will need lots of shoulders to cry on.
