Verl VanWeerd Head Stone

We are trying to raise money for My dad; Verl Van Weerd' headstone. 
Dad was a veteran, he served the military active duty and continued to serve as a civilian at Hill air force base after he retired active duty. 

The VA had agreed to cover the cost of his headstone after he passed. 
Neglectedly and unfortunately, we reached out to them to check on the progress of his headstone.
they told us over 5 months after the lose of my dad
That they lost all the forms and paperwork for his headstone. ( keep in mind, the headstone was the only thing they would cover. Nothing other than that)
My dad didn't have life insurance,
all the the funeral expenses were paid for out of pocket. 
We had tried relentlessly to correct this error with the VA . 
they continued, one excuse after another.
Since my dad passed we have put items in resting place, but unfortunately everything we place there has either been:                                                                 ripped apart, stolen, or destroyed. 

After all the issues we had, we went to a company to have one made. 
The total cost of my dad's headstone is over $1,500.00.  
 
We have paid $250.00 toward it. 
We are trying to raise money to cover the rest of the amount owed for it, as the company will not place it at the cemetery until it's paid in full.
