Heading for open-heart surgery...

After seeing a cardiologist earlier this year, the doctor discovered an aneurysm in my aorta and a faulty aortic valve. He urged me to stop teaching immediately. Since February 2023, I have participated in a series of exams, xrays, ultrasounds, and other medical procedures to figure out the extent of the damage to my heart. My cardiologist has referred me over to a cardiac surgeon who originally booked me for surgery on March 20, 2023. But because of a global shortage, the graft needed for surgery was out of stock and my surgery was postponed. We waited several weeks for a new date... I am so relieved now to know that my new surgery date is taking place on May 8, 2023.

The last three months have been difficult to navigate and I am now struggling to make ends meet. Being unable to teach has presented a financial burden, leaving me no choice but to ask for assistance. I could use and would deeply appreciate any contribution you can provide. I will be out of commission for another two months and your help will carry Yoga Belly and my family through while I am in recovery.
