Heading Off Cancer - Brad Hodges
Donation protected
This fund is to help Brad with both his medical and personal expenses as he goes through cancer treatment.
This journey started with what he thought was an inner-ear infection, but in reality, turned out to be a tumor on his right temporal lobe. After numerous appointments ruling out this and that, it was concluded he simply had a stage two, benign tumor that just needed to be removed with monitoring/check-ups in years to come to make sure there was no additional growth.
HOWEVER….after the tumor was removed and sent off for evaluation, the tumor was reclassified as a stage three cancer tumor and chemo treatment would be required. A trip to MD Anderson in Houston confirmed this diagnosis, so here we are, ready to begin the chemo process this Monday, December 12th.
Amidst all of the appointments and procedures, he asked his sweet girlfriend, Courtney, to be his wife…and she said YES!!! Brad’s attitude and positivity throughout all of this has been and continues to be amazing, and in fact, has been humbling to us all. With God’s Power, amazing doctors and Brad’s unbelievable support group of family and friends, there is no doubt he is going to come away from his treatment six weeks from now better than ever and ready to start his incredible new journey with Courtney.
After the initial six weeks, Brad will have a month rest and then a year of what is called maintenance, which consists of chemo for five days a week, one week a month for 12 months.
Thank you all for your love, thoughts, prayers and support. God Bless You All!!!
