"Heading Out, I'll Be Here" (Original Film)

Stephen and Carsen here. The year is 2023 and we're producing our very first film! Follow along below to learn about the project and figure out how you can be a part of making it all come to life.

Written by Carsen Schroeder and directed by Stephen Johnson, “Heading Out, I’ll Be Here” is a psychological thriller short that explores the consequences of our jaded perception of self. When we’re constantly manufacturing masks to wear and running from our fears and anxieties, how do we fare? Can we thrive? The film is a hypnotic depiction of the way that our mind crumbles in on itself, making us incapable of enjoying the company around us and even life itself.

"Heading Out, I'll Be Here" explores a crippling (yet relatable) brand of modern-day anxiety utilizing comedic tension, surrealist color/light schemes, original music, a healthy dose of cringe, horror elements, and last but not least, compassion. We're excited to create a unique, multi-dimensional film that we hope entertains, mystifies, and challenges viewers.
