Headsets for Homeless Students Learning Remotely
Donation protected
Our Ask:
We are New Yorkers! We are neighbors! We are raising funds to supply headsets to Homeless NYC students living in District 2 Temporary Housing. Currently, all middle school and high-school aged kids MUST attend school remotely due to COVID-19. These students live in a single 200 square-foot hotel room with up to 3 other family members, sometimes with other siblings who are also learning remotely. Since there are no community spaces where students can learn, they MUST attend school in these rooms. Already struggling with poor to no internet connections, these students are further disadvantaged by not having a quiet space to learn. One headset can make a WORLD of difference!
To help reduce costs, a generous local office supplier is providing headsets at a %45 discount. This means that we can provide students with high-quality headsets for only $25 per students. Please help us make a difference in these children's education which is currently in jeopardy and will undoubtedly continue to be so for years to come.
