Kionte's Paralympic Strength Coach

Heads 'N Tales was founded by Kevin Saum after suffering a life threatening brain injury in a high school football game. Kevin struggled physically, mentally and emotionally after this injury. He knew he couldn't be the only athlete feeling this way, but struggled to find a strong support system.
Kevin started the Heads N' Tales podcast to give other athletes a platform to share their tales of perseverance to inspire people from all walks of life to overcome any obstacle thrown in their path.
In episode 13 of the Heads 'N Tales podcast Kevin interviews Corporal Kionte Storey , who is a retired United States Marine. The two met at a CrossFit competition for athletes with adaptive needs called the "Working Wounded Games " in Washington, DC. Kevin was so impressed by Kionte's athleticism and knew the potential impact his story could have on people all over the world that he wanted to help Kionte get to the 2016 International Paralympics .
Kionte lost his lower right leg to an IED (improvised explosive device) in Afghanistan in September 2010 and he also struggled physically, mentally and emotionally throughout his recovery. He now is training to qualify for the 2016 International Paralymic Games in the 100, 200 and 400 meter sprint events. Kionte talks about his mission to inpsire others in the video below.
In order to compete at a high enough level to make it to the Paralympics, Kionte needs a coach. Hiring a paralympic track strength & conditioning coach can cost upwards of $700 a month. The $8000 raised will go toward hiring a coach and travel expenses on his journey to the 2016 International Paralympics in Rio.
Heads 'N Tales is so passionate about getting Kionte to the Paralympic Games because it's not just about helping Kionte, its about helping the hundreds of thousands of people he will inspire along the way.
