Tombstone for Marlan Chookomolin
Donation protected
On June 25, 2017 my cousin Marlan Chookomolin was brutally beaten and left to die in Thunder Bay. He was found, some time later, barely clinging to life. Unfortunately, he could not be revived. He could not speak to tell us who his attackers were. We all stood around him when his heart beat for the very last time after he was taken off life support. He was a beautiful, quiet soul. He was planning to go to college this fall, but it will never be. He was also the youngest of three. His mother called him "baby," never referring to him by his given name. She wants to honour his memory with a beautiful headstone. Something that is out of reach for her both in cost and for shipping: we come from the second northernmost community in Ontario where it is not unusual for polar bears to wander into. That said the cost of shipping is just as high if not more as for the purchase. Please, let's help this mother honour her son with a permanent beautiful representation of her love. Meegwetch ❤️
