Heal Brittany through Endometriosis Surgery
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
Many of you know I've struggled with chronic pain for most of my life. For those who may not know, let me explain. Two-thirds of my life has been one painful menstrual cycle after another, an ovarian cancer diagnosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis and now severe pelvic floor dysfunction. As hard as this has been, I've been blessed to have stumbled on the right surgeon when I needed them the most. After many years of searching, I finally met a surgeon who specializes in Endometriosis and pelvic pain.
At the end of 2019, I went to Colorado for a wide excision surgery for my Endo. While my doctor was successful in removing the Endometriosis throughout my abdomen, it uncovered other issues that have been largely contributing to my chronic pain, some of which include adhesions, neuropathic pain, pelvic floor muscle spasms and possible Adenomyosis. These newer developments have required extensive specialized pelvic floor physical therapy, which was meant to last 6 weeks, but has turned into over 16 months of weekly PT sessions with a daily in-home regimen. My doctor is confident with this 4th procedure and proper recovery support, he will be able to give me a chance at a normal, healthy life with minimal pain.
I will be traveling to Colorado again for my second surgery with Dr. Cook in June. Your support will help cover the out of network cost of the surgery, travel expenses, lodging, pelvic floor physical therapy and all other recommended treatments. Anything above goal will go towards outstanding costs from my last procedure.
If you are unable to contribute financially, please know that your thoughts, prayers and sharing of this GoFundMe are greatly appreciated and mean the world to me.
With love,
Brittany
