Healing Art: Supporting a Chicago Muralist

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you well. As many of you know, I've poured my heart and soul into creating vibrant murals that enrich the streets of Chicago. It's been my passion, my livelihood, and my way of giving back to the community that has always supported me.

However, life has thrown me a curveball. On March 28, 2024, I underwent surgery on one of my feet after fracturing both in two separate instances!!! The road to recovery is going to be very long, as I have been advised by my doctors that I'll need to stay off my feet for at least two to three months. As you can imagine, this unexpected turn of events has deeply impacted my ability to work and earn a living.

For me, creating art isn't just a job—it's a calling. It's how I express myself, connect with others, and make a positive impact on the world around me. But with this injury, I'm faced with the daunting reality of not being able to pursue my passion and provide for myself or my family during this time of healing.

That's why I'm reaching out to you today. I'm humbly asking for your support during this challenging period. Your generosity will help cover essential expenses such as medical bills, rent, utilities, creating more art work and other everyday needs that I'm unable to meet while I'm unable to work.
