With the marking of the third year of the August 12th terror attack anniversary , most are trying to move forward and make a better Charlottesville. Yet, some like Tay Washington, struggle daily trying to find a new normalcy to a life drastically impacted due to no fault of her own. Tay Washington’s car was hit from behind while she was stuck in traffic due to the racially charged protest in Charlottesville. She attained a ankle fracture turning into a rare chronic illness (Complex regional pain syndrome), which causes her not to be able to work and provide for herself . Since then she has being trying to seek help medically, physically and mentally, . She has had very limited resources and little help seeking medical providers or other health professionals to put her back on the right path for success . She has had no income since the terror attack and has been in constant physical pain. The fund that was providing assistance to help with Tay’s housing expenses and car expenses has ended and has left Tay drastically struggling with what to do next . Tay’s dreams were taken from her that day and the life she once knew before the rally of August 12th. She is a certified EMT with a career she never got to start due to her debilitating injuries . Many people do not know Tay’s story and how stuck she feels dealing with issues from that horrific day. Please help bring justice for Tay by donating to support her needs and always choosing love over hate.
