Help for Tom Yaz for Osteoarthritis and Loss

I am turning 60 today. Sometimes, I am blessed to feel 25 when I can keep you all entertained. However, I can honestly say I had an awful year.

I became incapacitated from osteoarthritis in my left hip that brought on nonstop extreme stabbing pain very fast. However, I did my best to keep working, keeping people entertained, and traveling nonstop between Provincetown and back home to doctor appointments on my days off. Plus, I was exposed to mold and got sick from that at the same time. I was battling a serious respiratory infection. I was living on several rounds of prednisone, painkillers, etc., just to keep moving and working.

I moved back to Massachusetts from RI in the middle of this with some help from amazing friends. The day I moved into my new apartment, my car was destroyed by a hit-and-run. More expenses and deductibles. Moving to Provincetown was totally unaffordable, so I found a place in New Bedford, MA. I had no choice but to slow life down after I moved. I have been independent and self-sufficient since I was a teenager. Life just dealt me a horrible year. Glad to say I am mostly on the mend.

The loss of work, no unemployment as I am a gig worker, and moving expenses were devastating. I even had to leave some belongings behind as I could not move them. I truly appreciate the help and understanding of my close friends. I would never think of doing this; however, these are the slowest months of my working year. I need the rest to return to work fully recovered. I plan to be back working in Provincetown in the spring and summer for my 25th year at the Crown and Anchor. Any bit helps and I truly appreciate it.
