Healing Fund for My Broranasaurus

I’m creating this healing fund for my big brother who was shot several times the end of last year. In telling this story, I wondered what details and appeals should be made so that community members- some who are beautiful strangers, would contribute enough funds so that my brother can afford medical expenses and enough to survive until he can work again. But all of it felt like trying to explain why any Black being deserves peace, safety, and joy. 

All I know is that most people would not survive being shot in the heart, but he did and his life holds inherent worth outside of any measure of productivity I could woo you with. 
All I know is that he is my brother and no matter how old he gets, I view him like this:


And there is a world where his life could be lived with minimal struggle. $10,000 is a lot but in reality, it is much less than the costs we have already bore and it is much less than the true cost of healing (and I do not mean this figuratively). Our family has exhausted savings and other sources to support his recovery, but now we call on community support.
