If you know Carolyn, then you've probably seen her walking everywhere she went with her two belated companions, singing karaoke at Romas, having fun at China Garden, or serving in her church and community as a childcare provider. Carolyn has also worked and lived in the Dahlgren area for 50+ years and never met a stranger that she didn't call her friend. She has always been someone who would take the shirt off of her back, even when she had very little to give, and never asked for anything in return. As a love offering to Carolyn, I'm hoping that we can come together as a community to support her, in her time of need, just as as has supported others.
On Christmas Day, Carolyn was admitted to Mary Washington Hospital with speculations that she had a stroke. She was enjoying food and fellowship with friends in celebration of the holidays, when her speech began to slur and her facial muscles descended. When this occurred, her friends sprung into action to get her an ambulance to the Hospital and contact her family with the devastating news. Upon arrival, the emergency room physicians administered a CT Scan to find that she did in fact have a stroke, but she also suffered from a brain aneurysm, paralysis on her left side, and a bleed on her brain. Caroline has been situated in the ICU and is currently on a ventilation system along with nurses and doctors monitoring her progress. Grandma Caroline, as she is lovingly called, is currently at a critical turning point and her children want nothing more than for her to be HEALED. We ask you to join us in prayer, and if you feel led to donate we welcome any financial gifts towards her current and future medical expenses and Healthcare costs. We know not what the future holds, but her three children know that God is in control and he is an almighty healer and waymaker. If you are not religious or unable to give a financial gift, we simply ask that you share this campaign in honor of 'Sweet Caroline.'
