Healing Little Hearts May 2024 Mission Fundraiser

There is no global strategy to address congenital heart disease world wide. Most developing countries depend on organizations like Healing Little Hearts to provide care for these patients.

1 in 100 children are born world wide with CHD with 500,00 of those being born in Africa who have minimal access to healthcare.

In Kenya alone, approximately 5,000 children require CHD surgery and only 120-150 operations are completed each year.

Compare this to the US where we are able to preform almost 40,000 CHD surgeries a year.

This is the 13th camp for Healing Little Hearts in Nairobi, Kenya where we will preform open heart surgery and keyhole operations on 20-30 patients, and we need your help!

As two pediatric cardiac intensive care nurses our passion is helping these children. This will be our fourth time joining the team in Kenya. Our goal is to raise enough to cover the cost of one open heart operation in Kenya, which starts at $8,000 USD.

Your generous donations will go towards the cost of helping these beautiful, deserving children and teaching the local staff to build a sustainable pediatric congenital cardiac program.
