Healing Moses

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for help for my beloved grandson, Moses. Moses is a vibrant and courageous young boy who has faced unimaginable challenges in his short life. Despite these hurdles, his spirit remains unbroken, and we are determined to support him and his family in every way possible.

Moses’ Journey

Moses was born with hydrocephalus and agenesis of the corpus callosum (ACC), conditions that have already required extensive medical care and attention. Our family has navigated these challenges with hope and resilience. However, in recent months, Moses has been diagnosed with epilepsy and cerebral palsy, adding new layers of complexity to his medical needs.

Recent Health Crisis

Recently, Moses faced an even more daunting challenge. He was admitted to the hospital with bacterial meningitis, a severe infection that caused his heart to stop for nearly 8 minutes. Although the medical team was able to revive him, he suffered some organ damage and requires intensive care to recover. This has been a terrifying and exhausting time for our family, but we remain hopeful and determined to see Moses through this crisis.

Family Challenges

Moses’ mom, Alexis, is also facing significant health challenges while making huge personal life changes. Balancing her own health issues, the demands of Moses’ care, and the needs of her other child, Ashtyn, has been incredibly difficult. The emotional and financial strain is overwhelming, and they urgently need support to get back on their feet.

Our Request for Help

We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to seek financial assistance to cover the mounting medical expenses and to help Alexis, Moses, and Ashtyn stabilize their lives. Funds raised will go towards:

• Specialized treatments and medications for Moses

• Ongoing physical and occupational therapy

• Adaptive equipment to improve Moses’ mobility and quality of life

• Hospital visits and associated costs

• Support for Alexis and Ashtyn during this challenging time
