Over six months ago, on a random Saturday night I found a lump in my breast and this "adventure" took off! Life will never be the same...which I say now from a place of humble gratitude. My journey has been shared along the way on Caring Bridge (link above if you choose to read more). And, I wanted to share that as of today (1/22/2024) my Circle - YOU - have gifted me with $49,950 toward the $60k goal. This has enabled me to focus on healing versus stressing about being out of work for a chunk of time. This has allowed me to breath...rest...heal...and get ready to pay it forward again once my full journey is complete (which I forecast as September 2024). Thank you. Big, deep heartfelt gratitude!

Hearing "It's cancer" is a wild experience. Emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially a person's world gets rocked.

My world was rocked on July 13th when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The current plan will span a full year with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery, many procedures, and a few other question marks around radiation and other needs based on my healing process.

Gratefully, I changed insurance coverage in January of this year. Sadly, the deductible I have due that will hit twice (2023 and 2024) is devastating, as well as basic maintenance and living expenses while moving through this process. I anticipate the price tag of this will ring in at $60,000. As a small business owner, I can easily feel scared and humbled in this moment.

And....I also know people want to help in meaningful ways, however possible. With that in mind, I have a team working on opportunities to contribute in the coming days/weeks so I can focus on healing over finances.

Please know, each person's gifts come in many forms. Time, talent, and treasure are all welcome as I heal with and through cancer. If you can make a financial gift - thank you.
