Healing For Daniel Bontrager

Donation protected
Many of you know Daniel and Maggie well. They are your friends and family. Some of you may not know Daniel's story at all. Daniel is once again in a position of great need. Last year, on May 15, 2015, Daniel was diagnosed with testicular cancer. A procedure was conducted and for a time he was cancer free. Unfortunately, on August 24, 2015,  body scans showed that his cancer had returned and spread to multiple places in his body. At that time, he began 3 full months of aggressive, chemotherapy treatment.

Daniel is now proud to say that he is cancer free, but the months of chemotherapy came at an unexpected price. Since his chemo treatment has ended, Daniel has struggled physically and psychologically with fatigue, neuropathy, and many emotional symptoms that are making daily life very difficult. With advice from respected doctors, Daniel has decided to undergo additional treatment with the hope of getting his body and mind back to normal.

His new journey begins this week as he flies to Scottsdale, Arizona to see Dr. Curtis Cripe, neuroengineer and founder of NTL Group. At this stop, he will undergo Neuralimaging, a non-envasive technique which will help to discover areas of the brain that are not processing information efficiently with the goal of helping Daniel's brain to self-regulate as it should.

From there, Daniel will fly to Florida where he will attend a PTSD rehabilitation center called The Refuge. Here Daniel will stay for a minimum of a month as he undergoes therapy and rehabilitation.

Over the coming months, Daniel, Maggie and Caleb will be faced with emotional, physical, and financial challenges as they go through treatment to bring healing to Daniel's mind and body. Join us in supporting the Bontragers by donating to this cause. Daniel and Maggie plead for your prayers and encouragement at this time as they obtain more information and as his treatment begins.

**While there is a goal amount set, it was set somewhat arbitrarily because Daniel's rehabilitation expenses are not fully known at the current time. What we do know is that no amount is too small and anything will help to ease the Bontrager's financial burden. I know that Daniel and Maggie would agree that the most important thing right now is your prayers and support. Thank you for anything you can contribute to help this family. Daniel and Maggie thank you from the bottom of their hearts for your support through his cancer and your continued support as they embark on this difficult new journey.
