Hurricane Recovery For Petit Goave
Donation protected
Hurricane Matthew cut a path across south-west Haiti. One of the villages most deeply affected is Petit Goave. The main road was washed away but temporary repairs have been made. Electric wires are not expected to be repaired before the end of January. Most of the homes, belongings, crops and animals were swept into the ocean by flood waters, the mud slide and tidal surges. The people of Petit Goave need your assistance immediately!
We MUST address the imminent and serious health problems. Humanitarian aid was not delivered to Petit Goave. The vegetation and livestock that sustained this community was washed into the sea. Clean water wells constructed over the last few years have been compromised.
Our kids and their families need to survive in order to improve Haiti. We have different levels of giving. *
$20 to purchase clean water for a family for one month
$50 to purchase food for a family for one month
$40 to purchase fruit bearing plants for a family
$70 to purchase food and water for a family for one month
$50 to purchase chickens for a family
$60 to purchase a goat for a family
$270 to assist a family with food and water through the end of the year.
* PLEASE NOTE: 100% of your donation will go to families in need in Petit Goave, Haiti. As an established organization in the area, no funds will be used for administration or transport.
Helping To Heal Haiti (a 501(c)3 non-profit) established a mission in Petit Goave after the earthquake of 2010. Over the last six years, we helped families restore homes, provided emergency medical care, enrolled children in school as well as developed programs providing health and education advantages. Hurricane Matthew served to turn back the hands of time. We know that we will restore and rebuild again. This time we are advantaged by our 150 Haitian students and almost 100 Haitian families who are our partners in the future of Haiti. Shelly Meadowcroft, Founding Member of Helping To Heal Haiti will collect and wire-transfer your donations directly to our Mission coordinater in Petit Goave Haiti.
To say that we need your immediate help is an understatement. We know that without intervention in the form of funds to purchase food, clean water and basic supplies the death count will be on a rapid increase.
IF you are able to assist a family for more than one month or purchase for more than one family, please express that in your level of giving.
Thank you in advance for your support. Your gift will directly effect the health and future of our children in Petit Goave. For more information and updates, please visit us at www.HelpingToHealHaiti.com
