Healing Sassy Fund
Early Monday morning my sister, Susan Idol aka "Sassy", was badly injured in a house fire that took the life of one of her closest friends and their family home. Second and Third degree burns cover 33% of her body, and her lungs are still being cleared of soot and ash. At this time it is hopeful that she will make a full recovery. The next 3-6 months however, will be painful both physically and emotionally, and we are not clear when she will be able to return to work. As of today 10/28, she is still sedated and in the ICU. 3 weeks ago she began a new job and her health benefits have not kicked in yet.
She would hate that I am writing to ask for donations to help pay for her recovery.
Yet she is one of the most generous people I know with her time, her love, and her expertise.
She would hate that I am sharing her story with you.
Yet she listens and supports everyone around her no matter what time of day you call her.
She really doesn't like to feel helpless or indebted or needy.
Yet she gives and she gives and she gives to all of those she loves.
Right now she needs all the love, support, and care we can give her.
