Health education & products - For girls in rural Tanzania
Donation protected
In Tanzania, 48% of girls miss or drop out of school due to menstruation challenges.
91% of rural shops don't sell disposable menstrual pads and even if they are available, buying them is stigmatized and most cannot afford them.
This negatively influences the educational performance and self-confidence of girls and can result in social isolation and completely dropping out from school.
That's why Magdalene set up Comfy Care, a social enterprise delivering menstrual health and hygiene education, and safe, reusable sanitary pads.
Comfy Care works by organizing visits to schools in rural Tanzania, delivering trainings on menstrual health and providing reusable sanitary pads to girls from low-income families attending each school.
The goal of this fundraiser is to enable visiting a new school in June 2024, empowering 120 more girls to manage their cycle, feel confident, and stay in school.
All donations are appreciated - the collection of small contributions make it possible for Magdalena and the team to realize the next school visit.
Provided we meet the fundraising goal, a summary and pictures of the school visit will be shared with everyone who contributed to the fundraiser.
Thanks for joining me in making the world a better place.
