Health Education Project Haiti is raising funds for our three main projects
1) Women's groups - building women's groups in three villages/towns, and running programs for literacy, financial empowerment, and ore
2) Community run family planning programs co-run by community members. This has been a game changer for many families.
3) Our local school of 500 children.
All of these are run by volunteers or some Haitian staff paid at fair local rates. Cost effectiveness is essential to scale our programs. The focus is to use effective teamwork and community partnerships. This current fund is mainly for the transportation, food, water, and a small stipend for our two women's groups and family planning projects.
We over 300 women involved across two communities, over 300 enrolled in family planning programs.
We are working to increase the quality and numbers to help these women impact the lives of their entire communities, in terms of health, safety, entrepreneurship, keeping kids in school, reducing violence against women, and much more. Note that we have a few faithful men that the women's groups have included on their own!
