In April 2014, BisaWorld was founded and established in Ghana – West Africa with a vision to “sustainably serve mankind with healthy products and quality services.” Since then, it has acquired the first FDA approved packaging of chili pepper for mass distribution in Ghana. This is a game changer in Africa, as traditional practices in the growing, processing and packaging of chili pepper sadly often result in widespread suffering from foodborne illnesses that otherwise are senseless and preventable.
In the developing and frontier economies of the world, it is clear that giving “fish” to people doesn’t work, nor is “teaching people to fish” quite enough. Today, we need to help unleash Africa’s entrepreneurial potential by working with Africans to launch and build new businesses!
Through social entrepreneurship BisaWorld’s strategy to improve the lives of untold millions is to:
1) combat the pandemic problem of foodborne illnesses in Africa;
2) contribute to local and regional economic development; and
3) offer secure jobs to lift out of poverty the most economically vulnerable and disadvantaged, as we focus on training and hiring: (i) unemployed and undereducated young adults, (ii) single mothers, and (iii) widows.
As a young start-up in the heart of an emerging African economy, this ambitious call to ask for your financial partnership is inspired by our passion to see that this vision and company can fully establish itself at the “next level” of positive social and economic impact!
Your giving will enable us to :
- acquire new production equipment to expand our services and production capacity;
- hire and train additional workers who previously were unemployed and had little to no means of supporting themselves and their families; and
- purchase larger quantities of raw materials which will, in effect, pour resources back into the local economy by enlarging a network of farmers we are training and partnering with to use healthier, more organically based and environmentally safer production practices.
