Please extend your caring solidarity to our friend, our sister, our activist in struggle—Leani Auxilio.
Leani is currently battling cancer and other health issues with the strength and determination that would and should scare any illness away. For anyone who has met Leani, she has been an incredible force of imagination and community within the social justice and feminist circles— most recently, as the Co-Coordinator of the NY Chapter of AF3IRM. She has the gift of being an artist and illustrator & is probably one of the most talented, charming, and humble woman warriors in the city.
2019 is the year she must focus on her healing as she will begin chemotherapy. This will prevent her earning a living, aside from burdening her with unconscionable medical expenses. We all know how medical care is in this country.
To help with her basic living expenses, support her new dietary needs, and also, to assist moving her dream forward of selling her artwork and attending an online portfolio class— we’ve estimated a modest NY budget of $1000+ budget/month.
Friends of Leani 2.0 ask you to help Leani beat the odds. Beat cancer. Wrest her life back from illness. Still in her 20s, Leani has a lot of life to live, a ton of art to share, and many more lives to impact with her vision, her anime love, and her ever NY, dry humor. Onward to Leani 2.0!
