Extraction of infected root canal
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Mona, and I am a 20-something-year old German girl, living with her husband in California.
I just got booked in to have an infected, painful root canalled tooth extracted- and while I am happy for it to go ( anyone who had an infected tooth knows, how debilerating tooth pain can be), I am also feeling quite overwhelmed at the prospect of having to pay the surgery, plus the placement of a bridge afterwards.
In the past year, unfortunately and unexpectedly, I had to have a lot of dental work done, and all my savings were spent at the Dentist's.
I have very good oral hygiene, and did not have a single cavity for all of my childhood and teenage years. Then, I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease, and learned how my dental problems are most likely linked to my condition. I am doing a lot of research on that topic and have already implemented several steps to ensure my dental health for the future.
But the infected tooth needs to go and be replaced. As I am currently in the process of obtaining my greencard and work authorisation, I am not able to work a job yet. My husband supports the both of us, but does not make enough to be able to pay for my dental bills. My family has already been generous to the extend of their ability, to help me in this long, exciting and also nerve-wrecking process that moving away from your home country and settling down in a new country, is.
Proposed treatment plan:
Step 1: surgical extraction of infected tooth and placement of bone craft, cost estimated at around $700 total
Step 2: creation and placement of a Carlson Bridge, cost is $2,625.00 (see attached picture)
Thank you for your support and generosity, it is very much appreciated- Iwill be sure to pass on the support and myself lend a helping hand where needed and whenever I am in a position to do so!
