Heart & Lungs Singing Group

Heart & Lungs Singing Group is a therapeutic, fun and friendly singing group - based in Tooting, London - and we need your help to be able to continue offering the vital health support and positive impact the group currently provides to vulnerable cardiac and respiratory patients.

Our singing group is founded on the well-researched and documented, physical and mental, benefits of singing and is dedicated to encouraging overall wellbeing in this patient cohort.

Our teacher encourages diaphragmatic breathing through singing which in turn helps to manage and improve breath control, and can therefore lead to stronger lung function and voice intensity, increased confidence, better mental focus and, in some patients, decreased use of medication.

Your donation will go towards our venue and music teacher costs and will not only contribute to helping with the physical symptoms of these patients; your donation will also help to create a space for those coping with similar health challenges to connect with each another and enjoy singing together whilst also fostering a sense of community, unity, empowerment and less isolation with their condition.
