Hunters Transplant Journey

Friends, Family and kind strangers. I have created this page on behalf of my step son Hunter, who is undoubtedly the strongest young man I know. 

Hunter was born with a rare congenital heart defect referred to as HLHS.

Hypoplastic left heart syndrome: A form of congenital heart disease in which the whole left half of the heart (including the aorta , aortic valve, left ventricle and mitral valve) is underdeveloped (hypoplastic).

He has defied the odds and survived three open heart surgeries when he was younger and multiple procedures to make sure his heart is working properly. 

He recently graduated High School and is looking forward to attending college to major in radio broadcasting.  

Hunter had a heart stent in August, but it didn't help for long, and his team decided that a heart transplant was needed, he may possibly need his liver transplanted as well. We will need help with traveling expenses, hotel, food, and to help in loss of wages since we both have to miss work.
