Hello -- my name is Patrice Dyson

My Story -- When I moved to Puerto Rico, I did not bring my computer, printer, or technical resources. I needed to work on a project which required those items. I proceeded to find a local library in my area and realized that the only library was possibly the business center in a nearby hotel or a 30-minute drive to San Juan, Puerto Rico. I could not believe that this area did not have a library, access to the Internet, or books! Every neighborhood in the states has free access to knowledge and resources. So my mission was to create a bilingual children's and adult library, a computer center, and basically a resource center where the local community could benefit. Why would I be placed in a community and not become part of helping the problem instead of turning a blind eye? And there became the idea of the Heart House of Palmer aka Case del Corazon (which is Heart House) in Spanish. My goal is to raise as much funding as I can to create a state-of-the-art computer lab, a community garden, an abundance of books for children and adults, and eventually a food pantry and shower for the homeless. Would you please help me make this possible? Please donate to this cause, the people in Rio Grande would appreciate help from the states and I would too!
