Heart Journey of Mom & Daughter - Aditi & Deetya

Life is a storm that constantly keeps testing you and when things get too difficult to bear - support matters!

Meet the young and lovable family of three - cute little 3 months old Deetya, and her parents Aditi (36) and Hrishi (40).

Aditi and Hrishi were excited to know they were pregnant and soon the little one will be in their arms. However, on 08/14/22, Aditi's and Hrishi's life took a sudden turn, when Aditi was diagnosed with a rare form of Cardiomyopathy in the late stage of her pregnancy. Aditi tried to cope with this heart condition however the symptoms were getting worse. Doctors decided not to wait for a full-term pregnancy. After having a very complicated and stressful delivery, involving several Doctors from Stanford Hospital, Aditi gave birth to a baby girl, Deetya, on 10/14/22. She was immediately transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Stanford's Lucille Packard Children's Hospital for 3 months. Soon after her delivery, Aditi experienced Congestive heart failure and she is fighting for her life. She is currently admitted to Stanford Hospital, waiting for her heart transplant.

To add to their misery, Deetya, who was born prematurely at beginning of the 7th month of pregnancy, is diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy and is being treated by Doctors at Stanford Hospital.

It does not end there. Soon after Deetya's delivery, Hrishi's mother passed away due to Cancer in India. At the same time, Aditi's mother was unable to come and help her daughter and first granddaughter since she suffered a thigh fracture in India.

This family is relying on the help and support of friends and well-wishers like you. The money we hope to raise here would cover the cost of the family's medical bills and caregiving expenses. Dad is the sole income earner in the household.

The amount of stress this beautiful family is having to endure all at once is heartbreaking and is something nobody should ever have to go through. Aditi's and Deetya's recovery will undoubtedly be difficult for her and her family, but we can come together as a community to help ease the stress that financial burdens can cause so that all their energy can be directed to the most important thing - Aditi's and Deetya's health and wellbeing.
