Heart Surgery for Ralph and Andrea
Donation protected
Ralph and Andrea both have Tetralogy of Fallot, a heart condition with incorrect formation of the right and left ventricles. Ralph had open heart surgery 4 years ago and will need to undergo catheterization because the artificial tube that was put in is now dilated, and blood is leaking into his heart. Andrea will undergo open-heart surgery on July 11th at Stanford Hospital due to her complicated heart defects. Ralph is a 7th-grade student at Nina Otero Community School, and Andrea is a 10th-grade student at Capital High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Their mother, Aurora Opena, is a 7th-grade math teacher at Nina Otero.
The funds raised will help the Opena family with medical expenses and travel to California for the upcoming surgery. We appreciate your generosity and kind wishes in supporting our friend Aurora and her children.
