Heart to heart for Rapoza-Frazier baby and family

Hello. My name is Mary Ellen Pierce. The picture above was taken in my home this past Christmas Eve of three of my nieces and their undeniable excitement for their unborn babies. Kelly (in the middle) is the daughter of my sister we lost unexpectedly in May of 2021. Little did we know that Kelly’s baby is going to need a lot more than love. Approximately two weeks after this picture was taken, my dear niece, Kelly Rapoza and her boyfriend Josh Frazier, learned their unborn child has a heart condition of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome that will require 3 surgeries. As you can imagine, they felt scared, confused and fear for the unknown. Their baby will have his/her first heart surgery between 2-5 days old, the second one when he/she is 4-6 months old and the final one at 2-4 years of age. It is unknown how long the baby will be in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Through all of this Kelly and Josh are trying to remain positive and educate themselves on what the surgeries will entail and to keep their family strong. I am sure this is a very trying time for Josh, Kelly, Kayden, Maddie and Savannah as they all prepare and plan for the baby’s arrival on April 13th.
Can you imagine thinking about all of this unknown along with the baby will be delivered at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia which is 3 hours away from their home, arranging for the care for their 3 other children, possible loss of income, travel expenses of gas and tolls, medical bills, housing expenses for the Ronald McDonald House and just the overall stress of knowing their sweet baby will have to endure so much? At the very least, I am trying to help alleviate some of this financial stress so they can concentrate on what their baby will need and just love on him/her. Please consider donating to help this family have what they need and allow them to focus on their baby. At the very least, please keep them in prayer. ❤️
