Heart to Heart Mission Trip DR

Last September, Massachusetts General Hospital and Vanderbilt University sent two cardiac surgical teams to the Dominican Republic (DR). We provided world-class cardiac surgical care to over ten patients in 7 days.

Our team included cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, physician assistants, cardiac OR nurses, CRNAs, and cardiac surgical ICU nurses.

This upcoming September, we are headed back to the DR to help 12 patients needing cardiac surgery. Patients will undergo valve replacements vs. repairs, coronary artery bypass grafting, septal myectomies, etc.

OR staff to our mission in the DR. Throughout this trip, we will work with the hospital's staff and local medical and nursing students. This mission is held near and dear to our hearts.
