Heart Transplant for Jarvis
Donation protected
Jarvis, an identical twin, and father to four young boys (ages 5, 7, 10 and 11), has been diagnosed with a life-threatening heart disease.
At 34 years-old, Jarvis never imagined that his symptoms of indigestion, migraine or fatigue were early signs of heart disease. These symptoms would progress to an onset of sudden and abnormal nosebleeds, followed by sweating with shortness of breath, and chest pains. In 2016, Jarvis received a defibrillator to regulate his heart.
Sadly, in August 2020, Jarvis was diagnosed as being in heart failure. His situation is now critical, and he needs immediate help.
Jarvis is currently under the care of Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee and is on advanced medication therapy with a heart monitor. The next treatment phase for Jarvis will be surgery that involves an inserted device and placement for a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD). Following this, Jarvis will be on a wait transplant list to receive a heart.
Jarvis is required to have funds in the amount of $10,000 in order to arrange his next critical surgery. The funds will cover the expenses for Jarvis to relocate to Nashville, TN during this process, acquire temporary housing, and cover expenses for a period of up to six (6) weeks. Throughout this time, Jarvis will have the surgery, go through recovery, and then will report to the hospital daily for critical testing and rehab. Jarvis is required to have a caretaker throughout the process as he will not be able to care for himself. His mother, Rowena is his primary caretaker and will accompany him throughout the process.
We realize that this is a very difficult time for many families and we appreciate any support that you can provide. We will keep you posted on his progress. We know that God is a Healer and we trust Him. As well, we sincerely thank you.
