Heart Warrior Emmett

Hi, my name is Emmett. I was born with a VSD (ventricular septal defect). The consensus was that there was a muscular component that may make the defect separate from the aortic valve. I'm scheduled to have open heart surgery on September 8th. I'll be in the hospital for 3 to 5 days with an 8-week recovery.
