#Heart ❤️ Warrior Joshua Jackson

My name is Kristin Jackson and I am the mother of Joshua Jackson. Joshua was born in September 2023 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). His heart does not have a fully developed left ventricle to pump oxygenated blood to his body. Joshua had his first open heart surgery at five days old to begin remedying this defect. He was in the hospital for a month.

I thank God every day for this brave miracle baby and his surgeons. I am forever grateful to be Joshua’s mommy. He has come a long way, and still has a long way to go. So much is still ahead to help keep his heart functioning and give him a chance at a somewhat normal lifestyle. The blood flow through his heart is having to be completely rerouted. I am humbly asking for any financial support you might be led to give to help our family with medical expenses, transportation costs, and several other expenses incurred as we care for this very special baby. It can all be overwhelming at times. Fortunately, our medical insurance helps, but doesn’t cover all of the related expenses.

Joshua will have his second heart surgery on Friday, February 2. Please pray for him and the surgical team that day. He will have a third surgery when he is about 3 years old. Because of his heart condition, I have become a full-time, stay-at-home mom to care for him. My husband and I have a blended family of three other children ages 6, 8, 9 and They’ve been remarkable and so supportive. But all of us are having to make sacrifices to care for Joshua. We all love him so much, and are more than happy to do so. My husband works so hard to provide for his family. But I can see the weight of all this wearing on him.
