Sonny's Heart/Liver Transplant UCSD

Dear Family & Friends,
As most of you know Sonny continues to battle with congestive heart failure.
It all began in January 2005, when Sonny was first diagnosed with an enlarged heart. After numerous doctors' visits and testing, in June 2006, Sonny had his initial heart surgery to implant a pacemaker defibrillator. In November 2011, he received his second device. Just knowing that in 5-7 years he'll need a third device is when Sonny saw the opportunity to go back home to Guam to be with his family and spend some quality time. We finally made the move in March 2012, from California to Guam. While on Guam, Sonny found himself back and forth in the hospital for continued congestive heart failure. In January 2015, Sonny flew to St. Lukes Global City, PI for his first open heart surgery to replace his aorta valve. Surgery was a success and he was able to travel back to Guam in less than six weeks. Four months later during a typhoon in Guam, Sonny wanted to somehow help with the preparation, unfortunately his defibrillator shocked his heart, weakening the heart muscles even more and back in the hospital for further treatment. With the limited care on Guam, we knew once he got strong enough to travel, we had to make our way back to the mainland for more evaluations. What we didn't realize was he wasn't going to return to Guam until he had a heart and a liver transplant as well. As he continued to be in and out of the hospital and the weakening of his heart, his recent admission into UCSD Sulpizio Cardiovascular Hospital in San Diego is now where he resides as he waits for a heart/liver donor match. Through all this, and although Sonny's family and friends have been generous with supplementing as much as they could, I too have been seeking employment, unfortunately have not been successful. I am humbly seeking for any support you can afford us so that I may continue to be by Sonny's side while I wait patiently for a job opportunity to come up.
We thank God every day for all you have done for us and count our blessings every single day. Your continued prayers are what keeps us strong as we wait for his new heart and liver.
