Heartache by the Pound new album by Kirk Fletcher

Hello my friends,

I'm launching a gofundme campaign in support of my latest album completion. "Heartache by the pound" recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals AL. During my time away from playing live and being at home. I had a deep look at my own personal musical mortality. Not knowing if and when, I will be able to play live in front of an audience again. I started to think about writing music, because at that point during lockdown thats all many of us had. I thought what if I could make my record anywhere in the world and with whoever I wanted to make it with. My first thought were the songs and writing the best ones I could. So I began writing, lyrics started to flow out and my mentor and dear friend Richard Cousins became my editor and we would get together every week. I challenged myself to have a new song well on it's way to completion, then Richard would come along and fine tune and help me structure thing's. Next thought was where to record. I called my good friend Mick Hayes asking him about his experience recording at Fame studios. Mick put me in touch with the the studio. Fame studios is so important to me and the music that was created there. I brought along my friend Reese Wynans on Organ and Piano, Terrance F Clark on Drums from Memphis TN and my old dear friend Randy Bermudes on Bass. I put my heart and soul into this record and I followed my heart. It's a classic Blues record with my own personal spin on it. I didn't set out to reinvent the wheel but to simply put my own spin on it and celebrate this beautiful art form we call Blues Music. Your help will allow me to properly promote and distribute my album and Radio promotion. It will also help with some of the expenses such as musician fees, studio time, travel expenses, mixing of the record, mastering fees I've already paid out of pocket. I also truly hope that this will inspire others to take the initiative to follow his or her's own musical journey. I intend to also use this opportunity to help other musicians along the way and inspire through my own journey as a musician. I'm planning on a middle of July 2022 release. So I have limited time to get everything set up for the release. I would like to thank you for your support in advance.
