Hi friends new and old!

I'm starting a new business. Our post-Covid world has proven stressful for almost everyone. Stress related anxiety and depression are on the rise. Creating arts and crafts with others has been found to be similar to yoga for decreasing tension. My vision is to bring healing support and stress reduction activities to artists and non-artists alike.

I have been able to acquire a space in a shared working warehouse, start my website and am now trying to network!

I am seeking financial support in order to hire a marketing professional to transform my dream into a reality and to aid me with the various costs associated with building this endeavor. My business model is small and will provide an income for me, but will not make me or anyone else rich...therefore angel investors are not in my realistic plan.

Any money received will go directly to rent for my newly acquired space ($800/month), start up costs ($1000) supplies ($500), marketing and development ($2000).

At heARTform, I will use the creation of arts and crafts as an outlet to:

-run staff retreats focused on problem solving and stress reduction

-provide one on one sessions that create increased positivity and a sense of calm

-host workshops where social interaction and group activities inspire healing

In November of last year my life took an unexpected turn for the worst which ultimately spun me into a wild nosedive south, literally and figuratively. The stress I had been experiencing in my life, both personally and professionally, had taken a toll on my health and I knew I needed a change. I chose to move from Burlington, VT to Raleigh, North Carolina because the cost of living in the Burlington area had risen to an unmanageable level for me as a single woman and a good friend offered an opportunity to head south. My goal was to arrive in North Carolina and begin a new journey, in which I lessened my stress levels and helped provide services which could lessen the stress levels of others as well. I started heARTform almost immediately, but I am new to this area, therefore have to start at ground zero to network, market and find clients. Small business loans are impossible to acquire. I've quickly learned that you need to HAVE MONEY to BORROW MONEY from a bank. So, that's where you hopefully come in!!
